OUT&ABOUT
TV
A Streaming Internet & TV Programming
Media Organization
QUADRUPLES
-- INTERNET VIEWERS IN ONE MONTH
(Newport
Beach, CA - May 6, 2003)
Out&About TVs multi-media web site, www.octv.com,
made its official debut mid-April 2003 with a series of public
events. The site has been on the Internet for one year. However,
in April 2003 the number of hits to the site increased by
425% - a huge upsurge over all preceding months.
The actual number of people who visited the site
- read, viewed and listened to the information - increased to
216,667. Prior to that time, the web site received about 50,000
hits per month, which represented an in-depth figure of people
actually reading, viewing or listening to the information at
the site.
This burgeoning media organization produces streaming
audio/video for its web site as well as television programming
for Orange County Cable TV, in-room hotel programming, convention
centers, visitor information centers and transportation vehicles.
Out&About TV also provides video streaming content for more
than ten (10) web sites in English and Spanish, including the
web site for Anaheim/Orange County Visitors and Convention Bureau
(AOCVCB).
Out&About TVs exclusive footage of Orange
County scenery, events, people, places and gatherings appears
on CNN, MSNBC, CBS, FOX, Discovery channels through a cooperative
relationship with Emily Kaufman, a nationally recognized TV
personality known as The Travel Mom.
Explains Owner/Producer Liz Rooney, Because
we are also partnered with the Orange County Film Commission,
all our videos are seen by top film and movie location managers,
directors and producers who represent studios such as DreamWorks,
Universal, Warner Brothers, and many more. (See listings
of movies shot in OC recently, http://ocfilm.org/ocfilms.htm)
The feature film industry spends more than $500 million
in Orange County every year through these production studios,
including feature films, TV shows, commercials, independent
films and music videos.
While it is difficult to accurately calculate
the financial impact and good will that www.octv.com provides
for Orange County, it is definitely the aim of this media company
to demonstrate over time the effect it will have on bringing
business from around the world to this community. Many
CEOs agree with us and share our passion for providing Orange
County with a media outlet to spread the word and tell our story,
states Rooney.

Out&About
OC to Launch 4/16/03
ANAHEIM/ORANGE COUNTY CONVENTION & VISITOR
BUREAU
TOWN HALL MEETING
Media is invited to cover the April 16, 2003 event.
(Newport Beach, CA - April, 2003) Out&About TV sprang
onto the media scene in 1999 with a concept that is much more than
merely multi-media production. The company provides entertainment
news coverage/destination information and business news in the Orange
County area by combining Internet streaming media in English and
Spanish with television programming, in-room hotel programming,
convention center exposure, visitor center airings and transportation
vehicles.
The media is invited to the debut announcement April 16, 2003,
at the Anaheim Convention Center, Room 204-A, beginning at 9 a.m.
and running until 10 a.m.
Out&About TV Producer/Owner Liz Rooney explains: We
believe that Orange County is ascending onto the world stage in
terms of international business development and visitor destination
planning. We intend to be the first there with our products to serve
and inform the County, and especially the international community,
about Orange Countys amenities and business opportunities
to increase tourism and economic development to Orange County.
Currently, Out&About TV is producing an entertainment show
called Out&About Orange County in conjunction with the Anaheim/Orange
County Visitor & Convention Bureau and their members. Production
of this show is under contract through 2005. The goal is to reach
four target audiences -- local residents, visitors, meeting/event
planners, and the feature film industry -- to promote awareness,
tourism and increase economic development.
TV celebrity Emily Kaufman, known as The Travel Mom,
will host Out&About Orange County. A variety of local celebrity
guest hosts, including Society Editor Cherri Farah, Food Critic
Fifi Chao, OC's Concierge President Scott O' Hanlon, and Real Estate
Specialist Adrienne Brennan, will bring their unusual perspectives
to the program content of both these TV and the Web sites.
The show highlights city destinations, dining, hotels, family fun,
shopping, spas, museums, golf, real estate, event planners, entertainment,
sightseeing, transportation, local events and a monthly calendar.
Each program segments consist of from :30 to1:20-second video vignettes
of each location highlighting its specific amenities. The
length of each is meant to make it easy for people with busy lifestyles
to access the information in a moment, explains Ms. Rooney.
On April 16, 2003, Out&About Orange County will debut on 9-plus
Web sites in English. They are: www.AOCVCB.org, www.AnaheimOC.org,
www.OrangeCounty.TV, www.OCTV.com, www.OrangeCountyTV.com, www.OCFilm.org,
www.Out&AboutTV.net, www.TheTravelMom.com, www.CyberTVShows.com.
The Spanish version of Out&About Orange County will debut on
April 30, 2003 on www.OCTVEspanol.com. Bureau members will have
rights to stream the content on their own Web sites for one full
year.
Additionally, on March 11, 2003, Out&About Orange County began
airings on local Orange County TV. By the end of April the airings
will also be seen at the AOCVCB Visitors Center, at the Anaheim
Convention Center, In-Room Hotel Programming and in transportation
vehicles.
Emily Kaufman, The Travel Mom, segment hostess for CNN, MSNBC,
CBS, Discovery, FOX and NBC, will use Out&About Orange Countys
film and video footage for national broadcasting, giving the company
even greater added exposure. Ms Kaufman has limited rights to use
OCTVs video footage for segments she hosts for such national
media outlets as CNN, MSNBC, CBS, Discovery, FOX and NBC. This exposure
will allow Orange County to be seen in different venues throughout
out the world.
Future added value advertising venues for Out&About Orange
County include airings in-flight programming for three major airlines
and Direct TV. Out&About Orange County is estimated to reach
between 5-8 million viewers in its first year.
Community leaders, CEOs and business executives have reacted
positively to the Out&About TV endeavor, states Rooney.
They indicate this form of multi-media-wide programming will
fill a need, as well as a void left when OCN ceased operations.
An additional feature of the new programming will be one-on-one
interviews with business leaders, allowing them enough time to answer
questions in a business-friendly environment.
Out&About TV is a division of Rodney Rooney Production &
Advertising, Inc. The companys mission is to provide its clients
with a one-stop source for production and advertising needs.
The media is invited to cover the April 16, 2003, debut/announcement
